Paul Chambers got involved in electronic music in the early nineties. Obsessed
with analogue synths and anything he could get his hands on, he started
exploring this unlimited world in his very limited bedroom studio. After
experimenting with IDM in the early days of his career, his productions evolved
more towards the dance floor. He started DJ’ing techno and getting a lot of
recognition, which soon got him gigs all over Europe. This new experience got
him interested in playing for the same audiences, but with his own music. Thus
his live career was born.
In 2008 Soulwax discovered his live performance and invited him to tour with
them on “Radio Soulwaxmas”, an unforgettable tour with legends like Justice,
Tiga, Erol Alkan, Boys Noize, Mixhell, and of course 2 Many DJs and Soulwax
themselves. This was a major step towards getting his performance recognized,
but only just the start of this adventure.
In 2009, the Soulwax brothers rewarded Paul’s value as a producer when they
played his at that point unreleased track “Yeah, Techno!” during their 2 Many
DJ’s performance, which was enthusiastically welcomed by audiences around the
world. It created a small hype on YouTube and got fans searching for the still
unreleased track. It’s still undecided on what label, but it will be released soon.
In short, 2010 will be the year in which things come together. Paul Chambers will
rise above the surface and gain ground on an international level, playing his
mind‐blowing live or DJ set and releasing more of his productions into the
unlimited world of music.
